Good news for Italian exports, which have been recording significant trade with Ukraine for years, with a view to 2018, given the interesting article “Ukraine's reform drive is powering ahead” by V. Yermolenko and R. Minich (analysts of Interview Ukraine and Ucraine World) published in the Financial Times on 6 September 2017.
After dark and difficult years, the Association Agreement signed and ratified on September 1st between the EU and Ukraine opens up different and far-reaching economic scenarios. The country is undertaking substantial reforms, and European support can only benefit a significant recovery in several sectors.
A notable consequence of the reforms will be greater domestic wealth, enabled by increased domestic production thanks to the opening of export channels to the EU.
The increase in import-export flows between the two parties will facilitate local purchasing power, where the presence of Made in Italy products is already well established.
